My boyfriend and I love this series and it's been our dream to cosplay together from this anime with him as Male Ranma and I'm the Female counterpart. It was an easier costume to make and it challenged me to style a wig for the first time. I had no experience in wigs other than making hair clips in my previous cosplay. All in all, the costumes were well received, and it's comfortable to wear over and over again.
The shirt was made of a gorgeous floral brocade silk found at JoAnn's Fabric; we got very lucky because we got the last of the style in stock. We lined the shirts with white silk leftover from making Acchan the 13th (AKB0048). We didn't know how to make the gold frog buttons, so we got ours at JoAnn's as well. One day we plan to remake the frogs ourselves. The black belts are made of black silk; we also used the black silk to cover the foam for our wristbands; we also handsewed velcro for easier application and removal. The pants were made of heavy cotton and elastic; it's very durable, comparable to jeans and they are very comfortable. We purchased our wigs from Arda Wigs, mine in Lulu Cherry Red and Mihoki's in Lulu Black; for the ponytails, we purchased short wefts in respective colors and hand sewed them to the wig, braiding once we finished. We have to thank our friend Joshua Sanchez for the Chinese shoes - he got these pairs for us to match, and he cosplayed as our Ryoga Hibiki.
